My favorite Oscar speech. I love how he kisses three women on his way to the stage, and then devotes so much time to his mother. He could summon strong masculine energy when it was needed (think his amazing turn as the heavy in Mission Impossible); but he was a profoundly, beautifully, heart-breakingly feminine man.

Dang. That was quite a line up. All great but the performance that broke me was Hopkins in Remains of the Day. I was depressed for a week. That was such a brutally sad film. But a masterpiece in depiction of emotional restraint.
